Louis Burrus

Louis Burrus is a Partner in our Dispute Resolution Group in Geneva. He is dual-qualified in Switzerland and in England & Wales (Solicitor). He specializes in domestic and international commercial litigation, in particular in banking and financial disputes. He also has extensive experience in conducting corporate internal investigations, including in cross-border white-collar matters. He regularly represents companies and individuals before Swiss and foreign authorities. According to quotes from Who's Who Legal, Louis Burrus is "a great talent" in cross-border corporate investigations. He is also ranked as "Rising Star" in the Litigation category by Legal Media Group's Expert Guides (2016).
Louis Burrus graduated in 2007 from the University of Fribourg School of Law, after having taken part of his Masters degree at the Humboldt University in Berlin. The same year, he also earned a Certificate in «International Business Transactions with Chinese Characteristics» from the Cornell-Bucerius Summer Law Institute in Suzhou, China.
After his graduation, Louis Burrus worked for two years with the Geneva office of Baker & McKenzie and was admitted to the Bar in 2009. He joined our firm in 2010. In 2014-2015, he worked in the global White-Collar Crime & Corporate Investigations practice of Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, LLP in London.
Louis Burrus is a member of the board of the Swiss LegalTech Association. In 2012-2014, he also served as a board member of the Geneva Young Bar Association. He is a member of several professional associations such as the Geneva Bar Association, the Swiss Bar Association and the American Bar Association (associate member, Section of International Law).
